A good prelim task Jess and evaluation.
However without research you will lose alot of marks - see my previous post!
Now you need to scan and upload your mood board and your rough outline of your pages.
Remember you should be blogging every week - on your progress etc...

Preliminary Task

For my preliminary task I completed the task of designing and making a magazine cover for the college magazine.
Most of the front cover was a photograph that i took of a member of my class, this was successful an worked very well, i also made titles with boxes round with different borders around them.
Like any magazine i also included a bar code and the price the magazine would be. The difficult part of this process was layering all the different sections and boxes of the front cover, but this got easier the more i did it.
By completing this task i have learnt how to use the 'ID' programme and different skills needed to complete this magazine task well. I will maybe use all these points again in my real magazine but this was helpful to practise.

Good Jess- but you need more research on here.
Who will be your target audience? Age range , gender, interests?
Also use the Project Phoenix research to outline your potential readers.
What is your USP that will make your magazine be competative and stand out from others in the magazine industry?
You need to put your completed audience questionnaire on your blog , to research your potential audience- and then your results!
You also now need to analyse a front cover, contents page and double page feature - of a music magazine - in relation to whether or not they follow the conventions of magazines (these are outlined in the PDF under practical projects on the AS Media Moodle site.) Who is the target audience for the magazine and how has it been put together to appeal to this audience?
Look at similar products and get some inspiration from them - upload or scan pages onto your blog.

Introduction
The project i have chosen to work on your my coursework is a music magazine, i thought this would be interesting as i am very into music. The style of my magazine will be a kind of 'indie/rock/mod' style. The target audience would be around 15-25.
